Vacation pay is a lump sum of money that an employer pays to his employees for the period they are on paid vacation. The Federal Vacation Pay Act was recently enacted. The law requires employers to pay employees higher vacation time and benefits than previously mandated by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
