What are Non-Qualified Plans? | Meaning & Definition | Akrivia HCM

Non-qualified Plans are when the employer reimburses their employees directly for the medical expenses they incur. In most cases, these are fringe benefit plans that are not offered through the employer’s insurance carrier. These are also called “Arrangements,” “Benefits,” and “Subsidies” and can be expensive to both the employer and employee if not administered properly.
