Early return to work programs, also known as early return to work initiatives, are supportive measures an employer takes to allow a worker who has been on extended leave to re-join the workplace earlier than expected. They encourage people who have been away from work, either because of illness or other personal needs, to book their returns at the earliest or sooner than they had planned all along. This program also benefits the employer by encouraging speedy returns. Early returns are likely to be healthier in terms of having spent less time out of work and thus deriving more from their potential productivity.
