Stay interviews are a method of informal employee interviews. A stay interview is conducted with an employee planning to leave the company, usually within 30 to 60 days. The interview gives the company a risk to find out why the employee is planning to go and what they can do to keep the employee from leaving. Stay interviews can help employers and employees save time and money by learning about potential problems well before an actual resignation.
