    The forced ranking system is a controversial management tool, typically used in large corporations, that measures, ranks, and grades employees’ work performance based on their comparison instead of against fixed standards. The results of the forced ranking are intended to improve employee performance and effectiveness by asking lower-ranked employees to improve.
