Equal Pay Act of 1963

    The Equal Pay Act of 1963 is an old law enacted on June 10, 1963, intended to make sure men and women get equivalent pay for equal work. According to this law, men and women performing jobs requiring equal skill, effort, and responsibility must be paid equally.
