Collective bargaining

    Collective bargaining is the process whereby a group of employees negotiates with an employer to determine conditions of employment, such as salary increases and changes to working hours. Traditional organizations that represent workers have been trade unions, typically only comprised of employees from one industry or sector; however, more recently, organizations consisting of employees from across industries have emerged.
