Time-and-a-half refers to paying the employees one and a half times their regular pay (150%) for any overtime they perform for the company. It is generally associated with workers paid by the hour rather than the full-time salaried workers. A standard workday takes 32 hours for a salaried worker. When an hourly worker goes over this amount, it becomes over time; in these cases, the employee must be paid 1 ½ time his regular hourly wages for that period.
