Performance-related pay (or pay for performance) pays employees or independent contractors according to their productivity or performance. This method of paying employees can include typical wages or salaries and bonus fees if the worker meets or exceeds production quotas. Performance-based bonuses can be applied to executives and employees, although bonus salaries are mostly reserved for top executives.
