Minority Business Enterprise | Meaning & Definition | Akrivia HCM

Minority Business Enterprise is the value added to a company if it somehow meets the criteria of being an MBE or at least 51% of it being owned by a minority group. For example, suppose there are 1000 companies in a given industry sector, and 200 of them meet the criteria for being an MBE. In that case, that sector has 20% MBE set aside from its Caucasian community alone. It means that more opportunities will be handy for minorities to compete as equals with their Caucasian counterparts.
