Compressed Workweek

    The compressed workweek is a type of work schedule that allows employees to work fewer hours per week than usual. This type of work schedule is helpful, especially for employees who prefer a flexible workplace

    The common type of compressed workweek include:

    • 4-day workweek: The most common type of work schedule is the 4 days workweek which includes 10 hours a day.
    • 9/80 work schedule: The work schedule in which employees work 9 hours from Monday to Thursday followed by 8 hours on Friday. The same continues the next week, with Friday as a holiday.
