Sabbatical is a period\/term or temporary leave taken by an academic for at least one semester (three months) for further studies, research, or personal growth. During this time, the employee continues to have financial protection and employment rights. Sabbatical is a good practice in Academia, similar to study leave in an organization. It allows the professional to refresh their mind and come back with a fresh perspective.
