Labor Force Participation Rate

    The labor force participation rate is the number of employed or unemployed people divided by the total civilian noninstitutional population. It is a proxy that measures labor force involvement. This complex concept includes only employed people and those unemployed during the survey reference week for at least 27 out of 52 weeks.
