Grievance procedures are used to ensure fair and impartial treatment of employees who file a complaint, raise an issue or present a grievance about the workplace. Grievance procedures can be incorporated into an organization’s hiring contract or employee handbook or spelled out in an employee manual. They may also include information on who, by whom, and how all grievances are filed, investigated, and reviewed.
